Aaron F. Barkoff, Ph.D.

Aaron Barkoff focuses on representing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in patent matters. He concentrates on pharmaceutical patent litigation, and has experience ranging from pre-filing investigations to discovery, trial, and appeals. In addition, Aaron conducts freedom to operate analyses, prepares legal opinions on non-infringement and invalidity, and advises clients on FDA regulatory issues. He also has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

Aaron is especially interested in issues that overlap between patent law and food and drug law. In May 2006, he launched Orange Book Blog, a website that reports on Hatch-Waxman litigation and other pharmaceutical patent cases, as well as regulatory and legislative developments important to pharmaceutical companies. Aaron is a frequent speaker and writer on these topics.

Aaron joined MBHB in 1999 and became a partner in 2007.
