Sarah J. Duda is an associate with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Ms. Duda, an experienced patent attorney, has a broad background in prosecution and litigation. Her industry expertise includes computing, telecommunications, electrical engineering, mechanical and materials, and business methods. Ms. Duda's technology experience in patent prosecution reaches from virtual universes to biometrics, optical surface inspection to floor panels, and fuel filters to speech recognition. She has prepared a variety of infringement and validity opinions on behalf of her clients. Her litigation experience includes research, pre-trial briefings, depositions, and assistance at trial. Ms. Duda has also assisted in the preparation of amicus briefs to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Prior to joining MBHB, Ms. Duda was employed as a patent attorney in Chicago and Virginia-based law firms. She also spent time in Japan, reviewing patent applications for compliance with U.S. procedures.
While in law school, Ms. Duda was an intern for the Hon. Samuel Der-Yeghiayan of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
