Thomas Loos is a partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Dr. Loos prepares and prosecutes patent applications, conducts legal research, and provides technological advice in support of validity, infringement and patentability analyses, patent application preparation and prosecution, and litigation matters in the computing and electrical engineering fields.
Dr. Loos has broad technical knowledge in areas of communications systems, networks, and protocols, including operations, maintenance and call processing in large scale telephone networks and LANs; and computing systems and software, including multi-processor computer systems, real-time systems, and real-world implementation of academically-oriented algorithms. His graduate research focused on the modeling of linear systems solvers on a variety of parallel computing architectures.
Before joining MBHB, Dr. Loos held a variety of engineering positions at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, where he authored software, tests, and requirements, and deployed and tested telephone switching systems.
