Richard A. Machonkin is a partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Mr. Machonkin represents clients in prosecution, litigation, and counseling matters. He has helped obtain U.S. and foreign patents for clients involved in a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, software, diagnostics, optical, and mechanical technologies. His patent prosecution experience includes numerous successful appeals to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He has litigated patent cases in federal courts at the trial court and appellate court levels. He has rendered opinions regarding the patentability of inventions and the noninfringement and invalidity of issued U.S. patents.
