Kader S. Gacem is a patent agent with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Mr. Gacem provides technological advice in support of validity, infringement, patentability analyses, patent application preparation and prosecution, and litigation matters in the areas of electrical engineering, telecommunications, and computer technology.
Mr. Gacem's prosecution experience includes specific technologies such as power systems, power electronics, digital signal processing, Internet communications, control systems, e-business methods, semiconductors, optical and magnetic storage devices, data mining, computer networking, VoIP, cryptography, biomedical instrumentation, and speech recognition systems.
Mr. Gacem has broad experience as a scientific advisor and patent agent at major Chicago law firms. Prior to embarking on his career within law firms, he served as a senior engineer and technical expert at Exelon. He has also held positions as researcher, and lecturer at various colleges.
