Aaron Gin is a patent agent with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Dr. Gin provides technological advice in support of validity, infringement, patentability analyses, patent application preparation and prosecution, and litigation matters in the computing and electrical engineering areas.

Prior to joining MBHB, Dr. Gin was a Senior Member of Technical Staff at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT) and Sandia National Laboratories. He conducted basic research on nanophotonic devices as well as a variety of novel optical and electronic materials.

Dr. Gin has authored over twenty refereed journal publications, thirty-five conference publications, and three book chapters.

Dr. Gin is a named inventor on U.S. Patent No. 7,755,079: Strained-layer superlattice focal plane array having a planar structure.
