Luis A. Pineda is a technical advisor with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Mr. Pineda provides technological advice in support of validity, infringement, and patentability analysis in the computer and software areas.
Prior to joining MBHB, Mr. Pineda worked as a software engineering intern for Project44, wherein he began testing the company’s microservices as a quality engineer. Later he was responsible for designing and implementing his own RESTful microservice, which allowed the company to better test the functionality of their services. Mr. Pineda also served as a startup android application developer wherein he collaborated with UI/UX designers to plan and implement an early application prototype.
During his tenure at DePaul University, Mr. Pineda served as founding president of DePaul CDM Students of Color, a student organization specifically supporting students of color and other underrepresented identities within the College of Computation and Digitial Media (CDM). Through a network of students, faculty, and industry professionals, CDM Students of Color provides academic resources, professional development workshops, and student mentorship opportunities.
