Michael D. Clifford is of counsel with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Mr. Clifford’s experience encompasses all aspects of patent law, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications; validity, infringement and patentability opinions and analyses; and representation of both patent holders and accused infringers in patent litigation.
Mr. Clifford concentrates in the computing and electrical engineering fields. He has also represented clients in other fields, such as financial services, medical devices, and biotechnology.
Before joining MBHB, Mr. Clifford was a quantitative and fundamental analyst at BP Integrated Supply and Trading, where he developed trading models and trading strategies for natural gas markets. An entrepreneur, he also founded a real estate company while in law school, eventually selling the company to embark on his full-time legal career.
