Nicole E. Grimm is a partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP and serves as Chair of the firm’s Cannabis Practice Group. Ms. Grimm concentrates her practice on intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark procurement, counseling, and litigation. In particular, she prepares and prosecutes patent applications, prepares freedom to operate and patentability opinions, and manages global patent portfolios for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and cannabis clients. Her litigation experience includes issues of patent, trade dress, and copyright infringement.
Prior to joining MBHB, Ms. Grimm was a research technologist at The Johns Hopkins University and a biological lab technician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Ms. Grimm served as an intern for the Honorable Martin P. Welch, Chief Judge, 8th Judicial Circuit at the Baltimore City Circuit Court while in law school.
Ms. Grimm also helped form a Canna-IP practice group to address the intellectual property needs in this emerging market.
