Thomas E. Wettermann is a partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP and serves as Chair of the firm’s Mechanical & Materials Practice Group. Mr. Wettermann has broad experience litigating and providing counsel in patent, trademark, copyright, and trade-secret issues, with a concentration in computer hardware and software, telecommunications, and power system arts. Mr. Wettermann’s patent prosecution practice is devoted to preparing and prosecuting U.S., foreign and international patent applications and counseling clients in the management of their patent portfolios. He currently concentrates his practice in the mechanical and electro-mechanical arts, computer networks, internet structure and software, advanced composite materials/structures, medical devices, and their related system components.
Prior to joining MBHB, Mr. Wettermann worked for a Fortune 100 company as a marketing and sales engineer, designing and marketing variable-frequency-drive and programmable-logic controlled systems utilizing pulse width modulated technology, primarily in the pulp and paper, HVAC, machine tool, textile, and waste water industries.
