Overview

YuKai Bao is a patent agent with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. Ms. Bao provides technological advice in support of validity, infringement, and patentability analysis in the electrical, computer and software areas.

Prior to joining MBHB, Ms. Bao served as a research assistant at the Laboratory of Nanosystems and Nanomanufacturing at Purdue University. In this role, she worked on developing scalable manufacturing of nanomaterials and their integration into functional, self-powered devices. She has also participated in research as a part of a group focusing on biophotonics and imaging, where she worked on developing and applying models for visualization of neurons in scattering material. Ms. Bao has also worked on sensor development and integration for a global home appliance company. She also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant in the Department of Mathematics and School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In addition, she served as president of Purdue IEEE Student Branch.
