Allison M. Williams is an experienced patent attorney. Clients rely on her practical insight and strategic counsel for all aspects of utility and design patent preparation and prosecution in the U.S. and abroad. She regularly prepares freedom-to-operate, validity, non-infringement, and patentability opinions to help clients assess risk and protect innovation. With a background in general engineering, she effectively protects innovations across a wide range of technologies, with an emphasis on mechanical and electromechanical systems.

Ms. Williams works with organizations ranging from emerging startups to Fortune 500 companies, developing tailored intellectual property strategies aligned with each client’s business goals.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Williams worked in engineering and design at Rexam, a multinational consumer packaging company now part of Ball Corporation. This industry experience, combined with her legal training, enables her to understand complex, multi-faceted inventions and draft strong, enforceable patents.
