Overview

Yunan Shi holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. Shi leverages her legal and technical expertise to assist clients in patent prosecution, intellectual property strategy including patent landscape searches and freedom-to-operate analyses, and litigation in the federal courts and PTAB.

During law school, Ms. Shi was a member of both the Patent Clinic and Trademark Clinic at the University of Illinois College of Law where she reviewed invention disclosures, performed patentability searches, drafted a patent application and prepared trademark applications for University of Illinois student inventors and entrepreneurs. She was also an Articles Editor of the University of Illinois Journal of Law, Technology & Policy.

Prior to joining MBHB, Ms. Shi was a systems engineer at Motorola Solutions, where she led teams of engineers to upgrade ASTRO P25 radio systems.

Outside of work, Ms. Shi is an avid traveler, a language enthusiast, and a classically trained pianist. She can be found singing in a choir, learning new languages, or planning her next food and cultural adventure.
