Overview

Grace Clopton leverages a background in mechanical engineering and data analytics to support clients in patent prosecution, bringing strong technical insight across a range of mechanical, energy, and data-driven technologies.

Ms. Clopton earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where her academic career emphasized mechanical design, energy systems, and data analysis. During her time at Georgia Tech, she also contributed to Design for Planet Impact, supporting the engineering of a durable household water filtration system designed to remove arsenic from drinking water in Guatemala. Her team’s prototype was awarded Best Mechanical Engineering proposal at the Georgia Tech Capstone Design Expo.

Before joining MBHB, Ms. Clopton worked as a data engineer in Delta Air Lines’ Flight Operations division, where she developed analytical models to quantify the operational impacts of crew scheduling efficiencies and delay response strategies. Her work combined systems thinking with large-scale data analysis to support complex, real-world engineering decisions.
