Overview

Garrett “Jake” Lee holds an M.S. in Applied and Engineering Physics. Prior to joining MBHB, Mr. Lee was a research associate at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia where he developed optical and magnetic systems for detecting trace chemicals. Mr. Lee now utilizes his research experience to assist clients, including individual inventors and multinational corporations, protect their innovations ranging from optical systems to autonomous vehicles. Mr. Lee also assists clients with patentability analyses, patent prosecution, IP portfolio management, and trademark matters.

Mr. Lee earned his J.D. from George Washington University where he was a member of the school’s Journal of Energy and Environmental Law.

Outside of work, Mr. Lee enjoys spending time engaged in creative expression by writing and hosting role-playing game nights and building and painting detailed model kits.
