A Federal Trade Secrets Act? The Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 (Live MBHB Webinar)

Tues., April 12, 2016 | 10:00-11:15 a.m. CT | Live MBHB Webinar via WebEx

Unlike other forms of intellectual property, there is generally no Federal protection for trade secrets. The Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016, now progressing through Congress with bipartisan support, aims to change that. Although it bears many similarities to existing trade secrets laws, it has critical differences that trade secret owners and legal practitioners should know about.

This webinar will cover:

  • The background of existing trade secrets laws
  • The provisions of the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016
  • The status of the Defend Trade Secrets Act in Congress and chances for passage
  • Other important trade secrets developments
