McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP is proud to be an official sponsor of the Ag Biotech Entrepreneurial Showcase 2013 set for 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. ET on October 10 at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (“NCBC”) in Research Triangle Park, NC. Conducted by the NCBC, the full-day event will include attendees from national investment firms, ag biotech companies, technology transfer offices, university research and support organizations. It is designed to facilitate information sharing, networking and partnering opportunities to grow in North Carolina’s two largest economic sectors – agriculture and biotechnology.
Eight of North Carolina’s more than 80 ag biotech entrepreneurial firms will showcase their company and technologies to national investment firms, ag biotech industry, tech transfer offices, university researchers and support organization attendees. Panels will provide overviews on the process of commercializing university intellectual property, short and long term ag biotech investments, and a keynote on Challenges and Outcomes for Ag Biotech Entrepreneurialism.
The NC AgBiotech Initiative is part of the NCBC, a private, non-profit corporation supported by the North Carolina General Assembly, helping the life sciences stay connected. They provide long-term economic and societal benefits to North Carolina by supporting biotechnology research, business, education and strategic policy statewide.
