Overview

Adam J. Faier counsels clients ranging from individual inventors to global companies on all aspects of patent strategy, including worldwide patent prosecution, portfolio strategy and management, and due diligence.  He has expertise in technologies including distributed computer systems, networking, users interfaces, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and medical imaging systems.  Mr. Faier has been involved in every step of the patent lifecycle, including brainstorming sessions, application drafting, prosecution, licensing, litigation both in court and before the PTAB, and appeals.

Prior to joining MBHB, Mr. Faier served as Deputy General Counsel and Head of Intellectual Property for a technology company providing a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for professional traders.  In this role, he managed and developed the company’s successfully-litigated patent portfolio from 50 to over 1000 patents worldwide, creating the largest and highest quality patent portfolio in the electronic trading space.  In addition, Mr. Faier oversaw all other intellectual property efforts, including evolving patent strategy, portfolio licensing, invention harvesting, trademarks, and copyrights, as well as led the legal due diligence for multiple acquired companies.  As an engineer, Mr. Faier was involved in R&D on networking real-time, human-in-the-loop flight simulators for a military aerospace company.

Outside of work,  Mr. Faier enjoys spending time in the mountains of Colorado, where he moved in 2021, and family movie nights in his home theater.
