McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP partner Dr. Andrew Williams authored an article entitled, “One year after In re Cuozzo” that appears in the March 30, 2016 online edition of Intellectual Property Magazine. On 15 January 2016, the Supreme Court granted a petition for certiorari from Cuozzo Speed Technologies. This will mark the first time that the Supreme Court has reviewed the post-issuance review proceedings of the America Invents Act (AIA), as it will review the first Court of the Appeals for the Federal Circuit opinion stemming from the first appeal of the first final written decision of the first inter partes review (IPR) ever filed.
