The fifth annual Spring Give for Girls celebrates the extraordinary GOTRC program, its supporters and all the girls who enthusiastically participate. All funds raised at the event will underwrite scholarships for the girls who need them, and help support program expansion in low-income, high-risk communities. GOTRC is a life-changing, character development program for girls ages 8 to 14 years old. The program uses the power of running to instill self-esteem, strong values and healthy living in young girls. The Girls on the Run curriculum combines training for a 3.1-mile running event with creative, uplifting, life lessons. For the past 14 years, GOTRC has been educating and inspiring thousands of girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. This year the program is on track to serve more than 8,000 girls at 325 sites throughout Chicagoland. This is made possible by the commitment of individuals, corporations, and foundations who believe in their mission, their work, and their girls.
