The Defend Trade Secrets Act at (Almost) One (Live MBHB Webinar)

Tues., April 18, 2017 | 10:00-11:15 a.m. CT | Live MBHB Webinar via WebEx

The Defend Trade Secrets Act was signed by President Obama on May 11, 2016. It created the first Federal cause of action for trade secret misappropriation, with provisions somewhat different from those of state trade secret laws. Over the past year, parties and the courts have gone through a feeling-out process in determining how to apply the Act. Among the topics to be covered during the webinar:

  • What are the provisions of the DTSA, and how do they differ from state laws?

  • How have parties used the DTSA in litigation?

  • How have courts addressed DTSA claims in litigation?

  • What other significant trade secret events have occurred since the DTSA was enacted?
