The Chicago Student Invention Convention is an annual event for students K-8 from participating Chicago Public Schools. Teachers facilitate the invention process through a curriculum designed to foster critical thinking and innovation. Students transform into innovators as they research and dream up inventions that are targeted at solving problems they have faced in real life. In its third year, the Invention Convention has expanded to include over 20 participating schools.
