McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP is proud to be an official sponsor of the ChIPs Women in IP Global Summit 2015 set for October 27-28, 2015 in Washington, DC. MBHB partner Jennifer Kurcz is set to attend on behalf of the firm.
Past Summits have been sold-out events, bringing together hundreds of women from a wide array of backgrounds, including private and public corporations, academia, law firms, judiciary, governmental agencies and institutions, and public interest, to engage in dialogue on cutting edge issues relating to intellectual property and to build relationships with one another. This year’s Summit celebrates ChIPs’ tenth anniversary and will be held at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. The full-day Summit will take place on October 28th and includes substantive speakers and panel discussions on unconscious bias, women leaders in the law, patent reform, tech trends and CEOs. Limited capacity, invitation-only pre-Summit sessions will take place on October 27th.
ChIPs was founded by seven women heads of patents and intellectual property from major technology companies in Silicon Valley with the mission of supporting and promoting the advancement, development and retention of women in technology and IP. The organization leads initiatives and holds events to further these goals, including through substantive and inspiring speakers, relationship building, mentoring, education, best-practice sharing and other forms of support. Since its inception, membership in ChIPs has steadily grown through word of mouth, and the organization has now expanded nationwide.
