Overview

Jori R. Fuller, a partner at MBHB, serves as co-Chair of the Mechanical & Materials Practice Group and supports the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion, Reviews, and Education committees.

Ms. Fuller supports clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 organizations on all facets of patent strategy, including U.S. and foreign patent and trademark prosecution, client counseling, due diligence, patent eligibility, validity, infringement, patentability analyses. With a background in bioengineering, clients in mechanical, computing, and electrical arts industries look to Ms. Fuller for tailored strategies on both utility and design patent prosecution.

Ms. Fuller joined MBHB in 2004 as a full-time law clerk and patent agent while attending law school. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. During her time at the USPTO, Ms. Fuller gained a solid foundation with respect to patent prosecution and invaluable insight into the operations of the USPTO, enabling her to thoughtfully guide clients through the prosecution process. Ms. Fuller earned a bachelor’s degree in general engineering and worked in engineering at Baxter Healthcare. This experience allows her to better understand complex innovations to craft strong patents on behalf of clients.  In 2023, she was named a Woman Worth Watching in STEM by Profiles in Diversity Journal.

With a goal of creating an inclusive culture at MBHB and ensuring the firm offers clients a range of perspectives and viewpoints, Ms. Fuller serves as co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion committee. Outside of work, Ms. Fuller enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family.
